Mallorca is the world’s most well-known western Mediterranean island. The island is equivalent to the sea, sandy beaches, turquoise waters, summer holidays, and mountains, making it the perfect destination for active holidays.
Serra de Tramuntana, the central mountain range on Mallorca, crosses the island from NE to SW and covers 63,084 hectares (almost 30% of Mallorca’s total area), has a length of 90 km and a width that varies between 15 and 20 km, and there are 54 peaks with heights above thousand meters. These mountains are an ideal destination for hikers thanks to their wide range of trails and accommodations.
Besides the 178km signposted long-distance trail GR-221 (“The Drystone Route”), Tramuntana offers 54 peaks with heights above a thousand meters and a multitude of spectacular coastal walks, just a perfect playground for every mountain lover.

GUIDED AND SELF-GUIDED TRIPS
The GUIDED TOURS are led by an experienced and knowledgeable guide who is familiar with the island and the trails and provides information about the area’s history, culture, and natural features. You, as a participant travel as part of a group, fostering a sense of community and focus on enjoying the walk without worrying about practical details. The group sizes are not larger than 12 people. We take care of logistics, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and baggage transfers. In case of emergencies or unforeseen difficulties, our knowledgeable guide will be there to help and support vehicles are available for transportation between trailheads or to assist with tired participants.
On the SELF-GUIDED TOURS you have the freedom to explore at your own pace and set your schedule, even we will help pre-planning your itinerary and include in it specific points of interest and attractions. Althou a professional guide will not accompany you, you’ll navigate the route using provided maps and digital tracks provided by ZigZag Mallorca. We handle logistics, including accommodation, meals, transportation, and baggage transfers. In case of emergencies or unforeseen difficulties, you’ll have assistance at any moment. The trip can be tailored to your interests, and you can choose activities and explore off-beaten paths.
